Nicole “Nic” Thomas is a songwriter from Chicago specializing in singable worship music and easy listening. As a preacher’s kid, she has deep roots in gospel. Nic grew up singing in school, church, and community choirs but always gravitated toward oldies from the '60s and soft rock thanks to the numerous joy rides she took with her dad as a teen. She learned to read music at a young age and played the flute from 4th grade into college. After pursing higher education, she began a career in laboratory science and went on to work for hospitals and a non-profit organization. Nic started writing her first songs in 2014 but became passionate about it during the COVID19 pandemic. In 2021 she decided to pursue songwriting wholeheartedly and her first credited song as a songwriter, More Than Enough, was released August 27, 2021. Since then she has written songs for Jeremy T. Butler, Maryjo Music, Lizzy Scholz and has released several original lullabies as singer-songwriter. Driven by strong melodies, Nicole is extremely blessed to be able to pursue her purpose – creating music that connects with the soul.
